Chocolate Mousse Cob

Serves  6                     Difficulty  Medium

Imagine walking into your kitchen to see this Chocolate Mousse Cob on your bench. Perfect for wowing your guests and treating yourself!

Ingredients

1 Bakers Delight White Cob
300g dark chocolate, roughly chopped
3 eggs
55g caster sugar
1 tbsp cocoa powder sifted
300ml thickened cream
½ cup of chocolate sauce
Marshmallows
Wafer sticks
Pretzels
100g of shaved white chocolate

Method

STEP 1

Place the chocolate into a heatproof bowl and microwave for 30 second intervals, stirring in between until chocolate is melted

STEP 2

Place eggs and sugar in a large bowl and beat with electric beaters for 5 mins until mixture is pale, thick and glossy and has doubled in size

STEP 3

Carefully fold in cocoa and the cooled chocolate and mix until combined

STEP 4

Place cream into a bowl and whisk until soft peaks are reached

STEP 5

Carefully fold the cream into the chocolate mixture

STEP 6

Cut a 15cm hole into the top of the bread and hollow out the bread

STEP 7

Spoon the mousse into the bread and place in the fridge to set for at least an hour

STEP 8

Drizzle over chocolate sauce and white chocolate shavings and serve on a platter with the marshmallows, wafers and pretzels to dip into the mousse
