Tiramisu French Toast

Spoil yourself with Tiramisu French Toast! This Kiwi take on a classic brunch dish is sure to impress. Indulge in the rich coffee flavours, creamy mascarpone, and sweet strawberries. It’s a taste of heaven on a plate!

Ingredients

2 thick slices Bakers Delight Hi-Fibre Lo-GI White Block Loaf
1 egg
2 tbsp milk
1 shot espresso
1 tbsp butter
100ml thickened cream
1 tbsp mascarpone
1 tsp icing sugar
1 tbsp cocoa powder
3 strawberries, halved and cut into love hearts

 

Method

STEP 1

Mix together the egg, milk and espresso shot

STEP 2

Heat half the butter in a pan on medium heat. Lightly dip the bread in the egg mixture on each side and place in the pan. Cook for 2-4 minutes on each side. Repeat with the other slice. Set aside

STEP 3

Meanwhile, whip the cream, mascarpone and icing sugar

STEP 4

Assemble the French toast with cream mixture (in either swirls or spread across), then place another piece on top and follow with cream. Top with cocoa powder and strawberry hearts
