Mighty Mushroom Toastie
Give your favourite grilled cheese sandwich a boost! Our mighty toastie is stuffed with flavoursome mushrooms, cheese and herbs.
Ingredients
2 slices Bakers Delight Mixed Seed Sourdough High Tin Loaf
250g mushrooms, sliced and sauteed
1 tbsp butter
1 tbsp chopped parsley
1/2 tbsp chopped basil
3 slices gruyere cheese
Method
STEP 1
Fry the sliced mushrooms in butter until golden
STEP 2
Butter both slices of bread on one side
STEP 3
Pile 2 tbsp of mushrooms onto the un-buttered side of one slice, then top with gruyere, herbs and the second slice of bread
STEP 4
Fry the sandwich for 2 minutes until golden, then flip and fry for another 2 minutes on the other side, pressing it down with a spatula
