Love nachos but keen to try something new? Swap out the usual corn chips for our freshly baked Hi-Fibre Lo-GI Wholemeal Rolls, toasted to crispy perfection! These wholesome roll slices create the ultimate base for all your favourite nacho toppings—gooey melted cheese, fresh diced tomatoes, creamy avocado, and flavour-packed black beans. It’s a quick, easy, and healthier nacho recipe that’s perfect for any occasion. Give it a go and enjoy a tasty twist on classic nachos!
Ingredients
6 Bakers Delight Hi-Fibre Lo-GI Wholemeal Round Rolls
1 brown onion, diced
1 packet of nacho spice mix
1 tin black beans
1 tin diced tomatoes
2 cups shredded cheese
1 avocado, mashed
1 cup cherry tomatoes, diced
1 tub sour cream
Fresh herbs
Method
STEP 1
Preheat oven to 180°C
STEP 2
In a medium sauce pan over medium heat sauté the onion until soft, add the spice mix, beans & tin of tomatoes. Cook until well combined and beans are slightly softened
STEP 3
Take your Bakers Delight Hi-Fibre Lo-GI Wholemeal Rolls and thinly slice them. Place the roll slices onto a lined baking tray and spray lightly with oil. Place into the oven for 10 mins or until golden and toasted
STEP 4
Once your roll slices are ready, evenly layer with the spiced bean mix and then top with a sprinkle of shredded cheese. Place back into the oven for 10-15 minutes or until the cheese has melted
STEP 5
Top your nachos with dollops of avocado and sour cream then sprinkle over the fresh diced tomatoes and optional herbs. Serve immediately
