Ham & Cheese Toastie Soldiers & Dippy Eggs
Serves 2 Difficulty Easy
Turn brekkie into fun with Ham & Cheese Toastie Soldiers & Dippy Eggs! Made with our Hi Tin Loaf, these crispy toastie soldiers are perfect for dipping into creamy egg yolks. Quick, tasty, and a Kiwi fave for lazy mornings!
Ingredients
4 slices Bakers Delight Mixed Seed Sourdough High Tin Loaf
4 slices cheese
100-150g shaved ham
1 tbsp butter
4 eggs
Method
STEP 1
To make the toasted sandwich soldiers, butter 4 slices of Bakers Delight Mixed Seed Sourdough High Tin Loaf, then top 2 of the slices with a slice of cheese, shaved ham and another slice of cheese before placing the top slice of bread on top of the toastie
STEP 2
Place into a sandwich press or fry pan and cook until golden brown and the cheese is melted. Cut into thick soldiers
STEP 3
Meanwhile bring a saucepan of water to the boil, once boiling add 4 eggs to the water and cook for 6 minutes
STEP 4
Serve the ham & cheese toastie soldiers with the soft boiled eggs
