Confit Garlic Toast
Serves 2-4 Difficulty Easy
Want a fresh twist on toast? Our garlic confit recipe is a game-changer!
Simply bake garlic, olive oil, and thyme, then spread on toasted Sourdough Vienna for a smooth, crunchy treat. Perfect for a cosy winter warmer or a crowd-pleasing starter. You won’t stop at one slice!
Ingredients
1 Bakers Delight Sourdough Vienna Loaf (2 slices per person)
2 cup extra virgin olive oil
1 cup garlic cloves, peeled
5 thyme sprigs
1 tbsp salt
1 tbsp pepper
Method
STEP 1
Preheat the oven to 160C
STEP 2
Add olive oil, garlic cloves, half the thyme, salt & pepper to a small glass bowl or oven-proof ramekin. Make sure garlic cloves are submerged & add more oil, if necessary
STEP 3
Cook in the oven for 1 hour. Remove from heat & allow to cool down
STEP 4
In a pan on medium heat, toast the Sourdough Vienna slices with olive oil
STEP 5
Lather pieces of garlic confit on each bread slice & top with salt, pepper & remaining thyme. Enjoy!
