Prawn Toast

An iconic dish in Chinese restaurants, you’ll be amazed at how easy this Prawn Toast recipe is to whip up at home! Topped with sesame, this prawn toast will be a hit at your next gathering.
With crispy, golden edges and a soft centre, this Prawn Toast recipe will leave you wanting more. Finely blended prawns are mixed with onions, garlic, ginger, sesame oil, and egg white before being spread over slices of our tasty Hi-Fibre Lo-GI White Block Loaf. To serve, cut the bread into triangles and dish it up with chives and sweet chilli sauce. Whether you’re hosting a party, looking for a unique appetiser, or simply after a comforting snack, prawn toast is a versatile choice you’ll keep coming back to.
Ingredients
3 slices Bakers Delight Hi-Fibre Lo-GI White Block Loaf
220g raw prawn meat
1/4 cup chopped spring onions
2 cloves garlic
1 tsp minced ginger
1 tsp sesame oil
1 egg white
80g sesame seeds
1 tbsp finely chopped chives (for garnish)
1 tbsp sweet chilli sauce
Method
STEP 1
Place raw prawns, spring onions, garlic, ginger, sesame oil and egg white in a food processor. Blend until smooth
STEP 2
Spread the mixture evenly across 3 pieces of Bakers Delight Hi-Fibre Lo-GI White Block Loaf and place the prawn mixture face down into a plate of sesame seeds
STEP 3
Place in the air fryer on 180 degrees for 10 minutes
STEP 4
Remove from the air fryer, chop into triangles and top with the chives. Serve with the sweet chilli sauce and enjoy!
