Jenga French Toast
Rally the troops and start building this French toast Jenga tower! Take it in turns and make sure you’re not in the way when it all comes tumbling down.
Ingredients
8 slices of Hi-Fibre Lo-GI White Block Loaf
2 eggs
2 tbsp butter
200mL milk
250g caster sugar
1tsp vanilla essence
1tsp cinnamon
150g milk chocolate
250mL double cream
Method
STEP 1
Prepare your Jenga pieces by slicing each piece of bread into 4 fingers
STEP 2
In a bowl, mix together the eggs, milk, 50g caster sugar and vanilla essence
STEP 3
Melt butter on a hot frying pan. Gently dip your bread fingers into the mixture and fry in the pan (a few pieces at a time). Once both sides have been fried, dip them into a mixture of 200g caster sugar and 1tsp cinnamon. Cover evenly. Repeat until all pieces are fried and coated
STEP 4
Stack the fingers in a Jenga formation
STEP 5
To make your chocolate dipping sauce, completely melt 150g of chocolate of your choice and fold through 250mL of double cream until combined
