Sourdough French Toast Skewers
Serves 2 Difficulty Easy
Add a Kiwi twist to brekkie with French Toast Skewers made from our classic Sourdough. Perfect for dipping, sharing, or on-the-go, these bite-sized treats are a crowd-pleaser. Whether it’s brunch with mates or a family fave, they’re sure to impress!
Ingredients
4 slices of Bakers Delight Mixed Seed Sourdough High Tin Loaf
2 eggs
1/4 cup milk of your choice
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tbsp maple syrup
1-2 tbsp butter
8 bamboo skewers
Raspberries
Strawberries
1 tbsp icing sugar
Maple syrup for serving
Method
STEP 1
Crack eggs into a medium bowl & whisk thoroughly. Add milk, vanilla & maple syrup. Whisk to combine
STEP 2
Heat a large fry pan over medium heat, add the butter and melt
STEP 3
Dip the slices of Mixed Seed Sourdough High Tin Loaf into the egg mixture, coating both sides and then place into the fry pan. Cook slices for about 2 minutes per side or until both sides are golden brown
STEP 4
Cut each cooked piece of French toast into cubes
STEP 5
Skewer three French toast cubes, 1 raspberry, 1 strawberry & 1 blueberry per skewer
STEP 5
Once you’ve made all your skewers, dust with icing sugar and serve with extra maple syrup
