Banana Split Jaffle
Sweeten things up with this deliciously naughty take on a dessert favourite!
Ingredients
Jaffle
4 slices Hi-Fibre Lo-Gi Block Loaf
1 banana
40g butter, softened
To Serve
vanilla ice cream
2 bananas
whipped cream
chocolate topping
marachino cherries
Method
STEP 1
Peel one banana, and slice. Put slices in a medium bowl and mush with a fork until no chunky bits remain.
STEP 2
Preheat jaffle maker until green light switches on.
STEP 3
Butter each slice of bread with butter.
STEP 4
Place two slices of bread, butter side down into the jaffle maker. Divide the mushed banana between the two slices of bread. Top with remaining slice of bread on top, butter side up. Cook 3-5 minutes or until bread is golden and crisp.
STEP 5
For each portion, peel and slice a banana horizontally. Place in a dish and put the jaffle between the banana halves. Top with an excess of ice-cream, whipped cream, chocolate topping and a cherry on top.
