Bakers Delight loves giving back to the community

Bakers Delight loves giving back to the community and this year Franchisees across Australia and New Zealand went into Finger Bun overdrive during May to support two very important charities as part of our community program.

Bakeries across Australia turned pink to support the 14th annual Pink Bun campaign for Breast Cancer Network Australia (BCNA) – the peak national organisation for Australians affected by breast cancer. Through the sale of Pink Finger Buns, BCNA tote bags and Pink Lady tribute silhouettes, the Bakers Delight network raised over $1.5 million for this important cause in just three weeks – a great outcome.

The generosity of our Franchisees in New Zealand was in the spotlight during the same period as they showed their support for KidsCan – a charity dedicated to providing Kiwi kids in need with food, clothing and health items at school, so they can get into their classroom in a position to learn.

Finger Buns decorated in the KidsCan colours (blue and red) were sold throughout the campaign with all profits going to this worthy cause. While the target was set at $30,000 over three weeks, the end result was an incredible $45,000.

Thanks to the generosity of Franchisees and customers across the country, KidsCan will use these funds to provide more than 600 raincoats, 750 pairs of shoes and 1,500 pairs of socks for Kiwi kids in need.

We’re looking forward to seeing bigger and better results in next year’s campaigns!
