Apple & Cinnamon Upside-Down Cake

The perfect recipe to make you look like you’ve been baking all weekend! Share our simple yet delicious Apple & Cinnamon Upside-Down Cake with your friends and family this Easter.

Ingredients

6 Bakers Delight Apple & Cinnamon Hot Cross Buns, sliced into thirds
1/2L vanilla bean ice cream, softened
1 cup Greek yoghurt
6 large meringues, crumbled
1/2 cup grated milk chocolate
1 punnet raspberries

To Garnish
Berry coulis
Cream, whipped
Assorted berries
Dried apple slices

Method

STEP 1

Line a 2L/22cm bowl with cling wrap

STEP 2

Using the hot cross bun slices, line the inside of the bowl reserving a few slices to finish. Set aside

STEP 3

Place ice cream, yogurt, meringues, milk chocolate and raspberries in a medium bowl. Gently fold together and transfer into the hot cross bun lined bowl

STEP 4

Top with the remaining hot cross buns and seal with gladwrap. Place into freezer overnight to set

STEP 5

To serve, remove bowl from the freezer and invert onto serving plate. Peel off cling wrap and decorate with coulis, whipped cream, berries and dried apple
