Apple & Cinnamon Hot Cross Bun French Toast
Jazz up your breakfast with this delicious French toast recipe using our crowd favorite, Apple & Cinnamon Hot Cross Buns.
Ingredients
6 Bakers Delight Apple & Cinnamon Hot Cross Buns – cut in half
3 large eggs
150ml milk
3 tsp caster sugar
50g butter
Mixed berries to serve
Maple syrup to serve
Method
STEP 1
Place the eggs, milk and sugar into a large bowl and whisk until well combined
STEP 2
Add the Hot Cross Bun halves and turn to coat well in the egg mixture
STEP 3
Melt half of the butter in a large frying pan and add half of the Hot Cross Bun halves
STEP 4
Cook each half for 2 minutes each side until golden brown
STEP 5
Repeat with the remaining Hot Cross Buns
STEP 6
Serve with mixed berries and maple syrup
